About the Dice Roller

This dice roller uses standard XdY notation: X is the number of dice, d separates the count from the sides, and Y is the number of sides on each die. Add a +N or −N modifier after the notation for bonus or penalty adjustments (e.g. 2d6+3 rolls two six-sided dice and adds 3 to the total).

Common presets cover the standard tabletop RPG dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100. Roll history shows your last 10 rolls. Useful for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, board games, and any other game that uses polyhedral dice. All rolls use a cryptographically secure random source.

Frequently asked questions

What does 3d6 mean?
Roll three six-sided dice and add the results. The first number is how many dice, the letter d means 'die', and the second number is how many sides each has. 1d20 is one twenty-sided die; 4d6 is four sixes summed.
Can I roll non-standard dice?
Yes — d2, d3, d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100, or any custom number of sides. Useful for tabletop RPGs that use dice beyond the typical d6, or for randomizing any range.
