About the Team Randomizer
Two modes are available. Number of teams distributes names round-robin into a fixed number of teams, so team sizes are as equal as possible. People per team creates as many teams as needed, each with the specified size (the last team may be smaller).
Useful for classroom group work, sports drafts, dinner-party games, breakout rooms, and any time you need a fair, unbiased division of a roster.
Frequently asked questions
Can I weight or pair specific people?
Not directly — the randomizer is uniform. To force two people onto the same team, enter them as a single line ("Alice & Bob") and split them after shuffling.
What if the count doesn't divide evenly?
In "number of teams" mode, the first teams get one extra member each. In "people per team" mode, the last team is smaller.
